Adventure Learning Centre is open!

We were so excited that we could climb and play on the new Adventure Learning Centre. We had such a great time and were so excited when we could do something that was a bit challenging!

We even discovered you could hide in the tyre caves. Imagine our games of hide and seek now!

N is for North Pole

Our letter of the week is N and we thought about what our Action Stations focus would be for this week! We thought about a Christmas theme and knew that the North Pole would inspire us all.

Here's our North Pole villages that were made at the playdough station. We were so proud of them that we started singing Happy Birthday!

Here is our first talking book - well done to Tegan and Grace who listened to instructions on how to use Book Creator, took great photos and spoke so clearly. Enjoy their book as a video and keep an eye out for other books due to be published.

We made "What is it?" and "Who am I?" books with Book Creator on our i-pads today. We made them with our Room 2 Ako Buddies. They are awesome - keep an eye on our blog to see more.

Wacky Handwriting in Action

We love wacky handwriting. We get to go outside and paint our letters with water, draw them with chalk and squirt them with our water bottles! This is the best day ever!

Principal's Award

Congratulations to Liam and Ryder for getting a Principal's Award this week for fantastic sounding out in their writing!

This week our sound is 'oh' and of course that means the letter is o.
The class thought that we should put Olivia on the display table - so we did!

Made it to the Bee Hive ... At last!!!

When we do our buzz words in the morning and show our A+ Characteristics we get to move our bee to the next flower. We have worked really hard and we made it to the Bee Hive today ... we got to choose something out of the goodie box!!!

Fun with our Buddies

We love our buddies. We did a scavenger hunt around the school. We found out lots of new things. We met the Principal, Mrs Brice (the secretary) and Mrs Winter (the librarian). We went to visit all the classrooms. We know where the sick bay and the toilets are. We know where to go to the office and to put the sports gear away. After we did our scavenger hunt we had lunch with our buddies in the Secret Garden - it was awesome.
